Why a spreadsheet
The record most people already trust is a sheet and a folder they control.
If you pay medical bills out of pocket and reimburse yourself later, the IRS puts no deadline on that reimbursement. The upkeep is retyping a sheet you already trust. Bring that spreadsheet in. Your receipts are always yours, we never gate your data, and you can export anytime.

CSV or Excel, with whatever column names you already use. You confirm the match before a row is saved.

Confirm the columns
PocketHSA matches the headers. If a column is unusual, ask for help, then correct the preview before anything is saved. A photo or PDF can still fill in one receipt.

Your files, your choice
A row goes into your spreadsheet. The file goes to your Google Drive when you connect it, or stays in PocketHSA cloud. Either way it is yours, and you can export anytime.
What an account includes
An account can already keep receipts.
- Import the spreadsheet you already keep, then review the column match before anything is saved.
- Upload a photo, PDF, or a batch, and review the extracted fields. Attach a scan to any imported row later.
- Store the file in PocketHSA cloud, or connect Google Drive and keep it in a folder you own. Your receipts are always yours. We never gate your data.
- Mark a receipt reimbursed and see what is still unreimbursed.
- PDF export is part of Pro. It is not included without a subscription.

Privacy
The waitlist is optional.
The waitlist stores your email and any optional answers you add: HSA provider, about how many receipts you keep, and whether you would pay $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year. That price is a question, not a checkout.
We don’t sell the list, and we don’t run ads. Receipt files are not part of this page.
The longer version is the privacy policy. Files live in PocketHSA cloud or, if you connect it, in your Google Drive. Google access is limited to files PocketHSA creates.
Questions
Do I have to give up my spreadsheet?
No. Bring the one you already keep. PocketHSA matches the columns it recognizes and keeps the rest in the notes, and you confirm the preview before anything is saved. Receipt files can live in your Google Drive, or in PocketHSA cloud. Either way they are yours and exportable anytime.
Can I reimburse myself years later?
The IRS places no time limit on HSA reimbursements, as long as the expense was incurred after you opened the HSA and it was a qualified medical expense. This page is not tax advice. The practical problem is still having the receipt when you need it.
Is export free?
Your receipts are always yours, whether the files are in your Google Drive or in PocketHSA cloud. We never gate that data, and you can export it anytime. A formatted PDF is a Pro feature and is not included without a subscription.
Is EOB matching available?
No. Matching insurer explanations of benefits, and an audit-ready packet that ties a receipt to proof of payment and a reimbursement, are coming soon. They are not part of the product today.
